Amherst Marine Staff

Max became the owner of Amherst Marine in 2020 and has been driving its growth ever since. In September 2023, he relocated the business from Amherst to Waupaca to expand operations and better serve more boaters. Outside of work, Max enjoys snowmobiling, snow skiing, boating, water skiing, and spending quality time with his wife and three kids.

Meet Mike! He joined us in Spring 2025 and has already become an outstanding addition to our sales team. While he’s new to Amherst Marine, he brings more than 15 years of experience in the marine and powersports industries. Mike also helps customers navigate financing options and extended warranties for their new rides, making the buying process smooth and stress-free. In his free time, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, cheering on his kids at hockey games, getting up to the family cottage whenever he can, and making it out on the boat a few times each summer. We’re excited to see all he’ll accomplish with Amherst Marine!

Justine joined the Amherst Marine team in the spring of 2024 and has quickly become a valuable asset. She focuses on creating engaging content for our social media platforms and staying on top of online messages. During the busy season, you might also find her helping out at the front desk or answering phone calls. In her free time, Justine enjoys snow skiing, curling, water skiing, e-foiling, boating with friends and family, and spending time with her husband.

Meet Mia (again)! Mia liked us so much she decided to come back—this time as our Service Writer and Head of Warranty. While she’s not new to Amherst Marine, it’s been a few years since she was last here, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome her back to the team. In her free time, Mia enjoys spending time with her husband and their baby, caring for the many animals on her farm, riding horses with her family, and even bringing fresh eggs for all of us at Amherst Marine. We’re so glad she’s back and can’t wait to see all she accomplishes with us!

With over 15 years of experience with Amherst Marine, Jason is both Verado Certified and Mercury FourStroke Certified. He plays a key role in managing our technical operations and parts department. Whether he’s typing away at the computer, on the phone, or helping customers at the counter, Jason keeps things running smoothly. Outside of the shop, he’s all about winter—he loves snowmobiling, camping, the outdoors, and staying active with Boy Scouts. When he’s not doing that, he’s busy cheering on his kids in their sports.
